Velour Stage & Theatrical Fabrics
Prism Velour 15 oz. & 22 oz.
Fred Krieger Fabrics developed the IFR Prism line of brushed velours as an alternative to offer a more economical fabric than similar brushed velour fabrics currently in the marketplace. Prism Velour has a softer, supple drape and a more plush appearance.
It is commonly used in all types of theater and stage settings. With two weights of 15 ounce and 22 ounce, it can be used as a main drape as well as for cyclorama curtains, legs, borders, and masking. It is 62” wide, and the fiber content is 100% FR Polyester. The 22 ounce Heavy Prism Velour is totally opaque. It is washable and wrinkle resistant. Available in 13 colors

Encore Velour 15 oz. & 22 oz.
Encore Velour is an inherently flame retardant brushed polyester fabric manufactured by Milliken Textiles. It is durable and wrinkle resistant, and ideal for outdoor venues and high humidity climates. It is available in 13 colors in both 15 ounce and 22 ounce linear yard weights. The 22 ounce fabric is opaque.

100% Polyester Synthetic IFR Woven Velours
54" wide - Available in Charisma Velour 25 ounce, Cresent Velour 20 ounce, & Plateau Velour13 ounce per linear yard weights.
These elegant velours feature a plush, dense pile. Their matte finish makes these velours appear and act similar to a cotton velvet. They are wrinkle resistant, tear resistant and the 25 ounce version is 100% opaque. These velours are used for theater curtain and stage drape applications for venues of all sizes. Excellent sound absorbance properties allow their use for acoustical treatment including sound deadening and sound control curtains.
For protecting the back side of the drapes from wear and abrasion, use our 72” wide Cyc Cloth or Poplin Cyc for a sewn in linings.

100% Cotton FR Woven Velours
54” wide – Available in Memorable Velour 25 ounce, Marvel Velour 21 ounce, & Princess Velour 16 ounce per linear yard weights.
Cotton Velour is still one of the most popular fabrics used for theatre curtains. It has a rich, dense pile making its light absorbing characteristics unmatched. Depending on budgetary considerations, venues can choose which weight is best for theaters and auditoriums, schools and houses of worship. Excellent sound absorbance properties allow their use for acoustical treatment including sound deadening and sound control curtains.
For protecting the back side of the drapes from wear and abrasion, use our 54” wide Denim Lining or Ranger Cloth for a sewn in lining.
