Flame-Retardant & IFR Fabrics

For certified fabrics we supply flame-retardant certificates on request covering NFPA 701, CAN/ULC-S109, and California Title 19. Tell us where the fabric is being installed when you order and we will include the paperwork your fire marshal needs. Not every fabric carries every certificate, so ask about the specific standard your jurisdiction enforces.

Inherently flame-retardant fabric is made from fiber whose flame resistance is built into the molecular structure of the material, not applied as a topical treatment after the fabric is constructed. Versailles, for example, is built on inherently FR polyester, and the IFR cyc cloths and Prism Velour knits follow the same principle. Because the resistance lives in the fiber, it does not depend on a surface coating.

Widths run from 54 inches (Crash Linen) through 60 inches (IFR Richmond Blackout) and 62 inches (the velours) up to 72 inches for most healthcare jacquards and the IFR poplin cyc cloth. On weight, Prism Velour is offered in both 15 oz and 22 oz versions. Full specs ship with our free sample cards, so you can confirm hand and drape before ordering.

Both. Fabric is sold cut to length by the yard or as a full bolt, whichever suits the job. For larger projects, submit a quote request: it covers volume pricing and, where needed, made-to-measure work. Because the warehouse is well stocked, many fabrics carry zero-day lead times.

Fabrics in the cubicle line are engineered for healthcare use, and several are documented for institutional laundry. Crash Linen holds up through repeated industrial laundering, and Imagine is engineered for frequent high-temperature washing and rigorous disinfection protocols. Because patterns like Interlock, Stratus, and Falling Leaves are woven jacquards rather than prints, color and pattern are part of the cloth itself.
